Pokémon obsession
(historic interest, Feb 2023 - Early 2024)

- History -
The roots of the Pokémon obsession first started in around July 2022 when a copy of the game Pokémon Moon was purchased. I didn't play much of it for a while before picking it back up on February 25th, 2023. You may be able to tell by the specific date, but this started the Pokémon obsession for me, which lasted from that day until early 2024.
My favorite Pokémon for a few weeks was Wooper, then Ribombee for a while, then Marshadow, then Meowstic, then Floette, and eventually back to Ribombee. I also got a lot more of the games including Gens 9, 8, 6 and 1. Generation 7 was still my favorite though since it introduced most of my favorites. I also liked the region in general and the console it was on. I was completely obsessed with Pokémon during the start of March and end of February in 2023 and it ended up playing a massive role in how that year ended up turning out.
Towards the end of the year, I gradually fell out of Pokémon and eventually the obsession/interest completely stopped and my favorite Pokémon settled on Cutiefly, which remains my favorite to this day. Whether I'll play any future games significantly is up in the air, especially because I liked the sidegames like PokéPark more than the mainline series games.
